Each move abuses a set of singular interactions and some overall interactions that bring huge value both to scaling and sustain. 1 Starfall: This is one of if not the most spammable ability in the game combined with essence of flow. Leveling up starfall increases the damage but more importantly the amount of stars it drops on enemies, essence of flow reduces cooldown by a % for each hit of light damage a memory does so it can basically infinite cast. This combos very nicely with essence of protection, this essence increases your defence stat by a flat amount and more importantly makes you CC immune so for example the stage 3 baums won't stun you or the hunter V big explosion will not knock you up. To round this out is essence of paranoia that will autocast a memory when taking damage basically instant casting all the time so long as you are taking damage, even to a shield, this will matter later. 2 Blink: This is my favorite movement memory as the cooldown is super short at low levels even, it has decent aoe dmg and is an instant teleport. That said it could be any memories, what we really care about are the 3 essences it holds. Spiral is one of 2 wave clearing damage sources. The higher the essence % the more damage and the more often it shoots fire at any enemy within range. This damage will be converted into healing and more importantly shielding with guidance clemency, one converts damage we deal with this memory and its essences into healing, the other increases the efficiency of that healing and converts over heals into a shield that stacks infinitely so long as we are generating more, if there are no enemies around you and you are not dealing damage with spiral this shield will go away and you will die. 3 Ice shield: Honestly this could be any memorie, it truly does not matter it's just something to hold the essences, feel free to sub for another movement if you feel you need it or whatever really. this is our second source of damage and oh so important scaling. Glacial core is just an insane essence taking any healing and shielding we do and converting it back to damage again, multiplying it too. Amazing for wave clear tho beware that while spiral does not target an ally while the dark urge curse is active, glacial core will. I highly suggest NEVER taking curses on infinite runs, the rewards are not worth risking murder to an ally, if you are solo, do as you wish. Essence of frost gives us HP scaling, when an enemy is killed with cold damage (i.e. glacial core) you gain 1 permanent health, a good stat to farm in general but great in combo with later essence. Essence of wealth is probably one of the corner stone essence of the game, money farming. Get it as fast as possible, scale it as hard as possible until a minimum of 20 gold per kill the dont stop scaling it. Money means essence, essence is upgraded when the shops dont have what you want, the factory must grow. Combo it with spiral early as glacial core can take time to find and so can clemency. Until i find glacial core i usually use the spiral/guidance/clemency only on boss and world 3 levels to be safe, otherwise I'm farming gold as hard as i can. 4 Shout of oblivion: Obtained by beating the hunters secret boss this is our boss buster. Huge damage, insane scaling and an invuln, what more can a gal ask for? Essence of giant increases a memories dmg based on our max health, this is why having frost is so good. Predation is probably THE essence after wealth. It increases our AD/AP randomly each time we kill a hunter. Once we have enough sustain we will be spending A LOT of time with our hunter friends, more later. This essence also increases the damage of the memory against bosses by a % so is also good to upgrade in the long run. Divine faith is an essence i personally like, it gives HP and flat dmg to the memory but honestly a conversation can be had for a lot of different essences to be here. Now that i have explained what each component does we can talk strategy. as said before the most important essence to get is wealth, after this is spiral as it allows you to farm gold and kill monsters while focusing on kiting and not taking damage. Guidance and clemency come next as they are our sustain, i only combo them with spiral when facing and stage bosses and on stage 3 as this is the stage that is most likely te give you issues mid game. Once we have our hard sustain combo and have increased the essence % enough on them to keep us alive we can hope to farm a predation. I ONLY farm predation against hunters on the first stage as they are much easier and less risky than stage 2 and 3. i suggest farming to a minimum of 500 AP, AD matters less right now, we care about AP as spiral scales with it. you will need to farm more later but this will get you most of the way to stage 20/30. During these stages we can look for the other essences and just slot in what we find. Glacial core can be a pain but once you get it you have basically hit ∞ and it takes big mistakes to actually die. I use Aurena as i like her sustain early game and her dashes but as you can see all her abilities all get swapped out so if you prefer another traveler go for it Happy dreams traveler
