Build description

By "modular", it means that this build is essentially a collection of different sub-builds that can work independently, while being even more powerful when combined. This is beneficial because most memories and essences are dropped and appear in the shop at random. Especially for legendary items, which are rather hard to come by. So, having only part of the build set up while still being effective is crucial. ================= Sub-build 1: Clemency + Spiral + Guidance ================= Most people will likely have this sub-build setup the soonest, since it only relies on one Common, one Rare, and one Epic essence. Spiral auto fires fireballs. Clemency converts some of the damage into healing. Guidance increases healing and converts some of the over-heals into shield. Adding these to Golden Burst because Clemency makes the drawback of this memory less punishing. Although this is not the main reason for choosing Golden Burst, which will be covered in the next sub-build. This alone is pretty OP. Yet, there are drawbacks 1. The shield generation is mostly relying on dealing damage to enemies with Spiral. It is possible to get one shot (e.g., from Hunter's "meteor") if there are no enemies to target, and the previously generated shield has expired. 2. The shield generation is relying on over-healing. There are certain enemies able to apply a reduce healing debuff, reducing this sub-build's effectiveness, especially in the early game. Which is why the next sub-build comes in. ================= Sub-build 2: Starfall + Paranoia + Flow + Protection ================= Paranoia reduces cooldown and auto-fire Starfall when taking damage. Flow reduces the cooldown of Starfall AND Protection. Protection reduces damage taken and makes you immune to CC. This is one of the two ways to mitigate the Sub-build 1 drawbacks, allowing less damage to be taken even when you are unable to keep the shield on, while adding even more DPS to the play. This is also where Golden Burst comes into play. Starfall will not start auto fire until damage is taken, and Golden Burst is the only skill a player can voluntarily take damage in a controlled manner while having the shield on. Use Golden Burst from time to time, and Starfall will begin raining non-stop. When not fighting bosses or entering Hunter-occupied areas with max. Threat level, it is recommended to swap Protection with Wealth to produce a reliable source of gold income. ================= Sub-build 3: Ice Shield + Virtue + Glaciation ================= Wealth is just here for swapping with Protection to increase gold income. It is irrelevant to this sub-build. This is your panic button. The second way to mitigate the drawback of Sub-build 1. Ice Shield allows you to generate shields on demand. Virtue allows you to spam Ice Shield multiple times at once. Glaciation deals a massive AOE when Ice Shield is used, just as a bonus. ================= Sub-build 4: Glacial Core + Divine Faith + Predation ================= This is the hardest part of the entire build in terms of getting access. It relies on two Legendary and one Epic essences. This build is to provide a source of endless stats growth outside of leveling up. Glacial Core auto-fires ice shards on healing received, pairs well with Sub-build 1. The ice shards will be continuously firing as Spiral is dealing damage. Divine Faith increases the associated memory's damage, healing, and max. health on kill (limited to kills made by the associated memory, in which that by Glacial Core also counts in this case). Predation increases Attack Damage and Ability Power on bosses, and Hunters kill. My choice of Winter Dive is less relevant here. Other memories will also do. I chose it because it deals cold damage, so it can more effectively make use of the first part of Glacial Core's effect. Also, the leap action can be used as a "get out of jail free card". Plus, it deals good AOE damage.
